"Invisible" watermark on images

If you look at the image above closely, you would notice that there is some text on it. This is to prevent people from directly copying it. As the image is in JPEG, editing the text out and re-saving it would result in overall loss of picture quality. This image you see here is currently used at my 3rd friendster account. The older one can be found at my 1st account.

Images that were previously located inside the private photo gallery in the previous photo system is now public in 2 seperate albums: "School" (学校) and "Others" (その他). This would make things easier for my friends to look for my images instead of the need of the troublesome approval process or through hidden/indirect links stored elsewhere (like Flickr or Windows Live Spaces). I think you still need to go to my Picasa album or go through hundreds of posts for images I uploaded at my blogger blogs as they don't work outside google.

Able to insert more text

It appears that I am now able to put in more text in both the "About me" and "Who I would Like to meet". The last time I tried, it got cut off when it exceeded the old limit of around 500 characters (despite it saying the limit being 10x more). Now I wonder what to fill it with. If you drop by my 3rd friendster profile (you can't add me there unless I know you or some of your friends), you might have some rough idea what it would be.

As of this moment over there, there are lyrics of a opening of a current (Winter 2008) japanese anime there and the links to my other acounts (also as featured friends at the top) with the images and text at the section it is in enlarged.

Now, I can move back the links that was in the media box and put in more (allowed) HTML codes!

Ps, I need to work out the CSS layout. It's barely readable at the current version.

Changed images

Reminds me of the phones by Samsung and Motorola. (Vodafone Japan is now Softbank)

I have made various changes to friendster display and background images which also includes the recently created 5th account. That account is now open to adding friends, with this person being the first (the other accounts you see added prior to that are mine). What remains the same is the background in the 2nd account, the layout and content and stuff. (Due to technical problems, the featured friends on the 4th account had to be redone) I have yet to reflect the image changes on my profile info except those in the media box.

The 3rd account (which is open only to the people I know) is where I temporally put up stuff for my other accounts. When I'm done with it, the display and background images would be changed to photos taken somewhere instead of an anime-related one (images taken in Akihabara are not counted in the latter). So don't be surprised if you see an image appearing at a different place than what you saw not long ago.

As I mentioned in the previous post, I have uploaded the drawings there, both the edited and unedited versions. Photobucket has make my life easier to sort images and look for what I want as compared to imageshack.

Image problem

Images that I have uploaded on imageshack seem to have problems. If you follow the link given there, it would lead to a 404 (not found) or 403 (acess denied) error. The same thing happened for the thumbnails of that image and the image for the japanese anime watch list, which are barely above 10KB each. I could switch to photobucket, but they have a 1024x768 limit and a 1GB storage capacity.

I'm now thinking of switching to photobucket for the drawings (shrink it to fit to screen), anime episode images, and all the small stuff. I'm still going to remain on imageshack for wallpapers and large images. This may take a while as the large majority of the images are now on imageshack.

51st post

「あれ？」

Seeing that my friendster accounts are rapidly reaching the 3000 friends limit (mostly anime fans from southeast asia), I am preparing another account that was created in November 2007 to accomodate it. It would appear in the featured friends list when ready. Until then, do not add me there yet.

What I am planning to do with this account is to be different from my other accounts. Exact details are being worked out right now, including getting around technical difficulties. But if you look at my other accounts (as featured friends there), you would guess how it could be like and the similaraties that are to be avoided to give the impression that it is created by a different person (but is somewhat related with the 3rd account). This could take some time, though what could appear on my other accounts could appear on my 3rd account first. Due to the changes, there could be changes outside friendster.

This is a tough one, so don't rush me.






If you have been paying attention, you would have seen the family name 「高橋」 (Takahashi) several times. Here is a so-called family background to make it as real as posible (like a novel) [some of the things below might be repeated by Yukari from her point of view later on at her blog]:

Yukari (ゆかり) is currently in the 3rd year of high school and is currently preparing on taking entrance exams at various universities, including Toudai. She is good in all fields from sports to mathematics to foreign languages wants to be a research scientist and help people around the world. Not long ago she was presented a scholarship that few in the world can get in front of many people and cameras. However, she does keeps a close contact with her uncle and is also aware of the existance of an older twin as she has the ability to gain additional knowledge from her other twin and know what her twin is doing, seeing and had learnt. (She was also surprised that she saw herself on TV from her twin's vision, which is confirmed when her uncle calls her to congratulate).

Haruka (晴佳) is the older twin of Yukari. She grew up overseas with her uncle since shortly after birth and is currently staying studying there. She didn't know why she had a japanese name or learn Japanese or had younger siblings (though she has the feeling of someone accessing her mind) until some time after she completed secondary school (kind of like middle and high school combined) when watching the news (with her uncle) and saw a girl on the news for being the smartest persorn in the world and received a rare scholarship, worth several tens of thousands US dolars, who closely resembles her physical appearance and has the same family name. She then asked her uncle to go to her parents house together to visit them since she have never seen them since she was a baby and had a very long break since she just completed secondary school and the polytechnic would not start until half a year later.

Youko (陽子) is 3 years younger than the Haruka & Yukari twins (she isn't aware of the existance of the former but wonders how the latter is smart) and is still in Middle school. She would what you say average; have some friends, having fun, 75% passing grade, etc. She does't know about her existance until her uncle (whom Haruka is staying with) called Yukari and would like to come over for a visit. She lives with Yukari and parents. (Though due to cumstances, she is the only one among the children the parents are able to talk to.)

reducing the frequency of updating

since most of the anime are aired on thursday and saturday nights, I would update the anime watch list that appears in my profiles less frequent than as soon as an anime was aired. However, I would still log in to my friendster, check messages, add friends though. Commments are sometimes checked. Due to my busy life, do not expect me to reply to your messages or send testimonials.

"Let me heal you"

• 1st acc: changed to a new background and display image
• 2nd acc: no changes, but did receive a lot of friend request and spam
• 3rd acc: uploaded an anime character for primary and background image; photos of Japan grabbed from 2chan.net earlier today are uploaded there. Changed the name from 竹林 志信 (Takebayashi Shinou) to 高橋ゆかり (Takahashi Yukari; Same name used for my other blogger account). Noticing that 花斑浜 (Hanabuchihama) does not exist in Miyazaki Prefecture, it has been changed to Nobeoka (延岡市) at the revelent places.
• 4th account: Only the display image was changed to one I uploaded quite some time ago. Smillar to the one used as the image for my group, with the owner being my 1st acc.
  

Changing layout

"Why are you inserting a star in my name?"

The changing of the layout for this blog is long overdue due to a lot of outdated information. Most of the stuff that was here is already on my main blog @ http://the1iam.blogspot.com for quite some time. I will be editing this new layout so that I could put in stuff I want and change/remove junk that came with this layout.

Like the main blog, I am going to put up images in each post (except those before this post). It would be located at the top center instead of the bottom left.

changing the way I manage my friendster media box

(MySpace profiles are currently in the process of being updated, but a makeover is not likely in the near future)

Seeing that text got cut off in the media box of my 3rd profile around where I list the upcomming anime, which is at the bottom, I would assume that they won't accept more than 20KB worth of text (including html codes). Due to the fact that there is a lot of coding, I do the text editing on my pc and save it there. This is to prevent it from being wiped off by "viruses" (which has happened before) and text limits.

My 1st and 2nd profiles are currently about half of that limit, so for now those would not be edited. Also, anime watch list would be based on the 1st account.
The 3rd account would now have all the english text removed or converted to japanese. The image version of the anime watch list would be removed (but would still appear on other accounts) since it's redundant to the text version.
4th account is slightly more than the 3rd (which is also above the limit), so I would see how to edit. I'm thinking of converting the youtube videos and IMEEM music players as widgets. The monthly anime ranking from newtype would now be based from there instead of the 3rd.

Edit: It appears that the link for the 乃木坂春香の秘密 is causing it to be cut off, especially the romanised form of 坂 (さか or ざか).
